Recent change to keep in mind (as of October 2026): Wales elected its enlarged 96-member Senedd on 7 May 2026 by closed-list proportional representation for the first time, replacing its old mixed system. The Scottish Parliament still uses a mixed system, and the House of Commons still uses single-member district plurality.
